Hielo Bench is an exploration of the contrast between two materials with a distinctly cold character: hand-cast glass and steel. The organic transparency of the glass evokes the fragility and transience of ice, allowing light to pass through its solid volume and creating subtle variations in appearance.
The bench is composed of solid glass blocks, individually cast by hand, whose irregularities and slight variations make each piece unique. Their crystalline quality contrasts with the strength and structural presence of the steel base, formed through three precise bends in a single sheet of metal.
The result is a dialogue between fragility and strength, transparency and solidity, where light becomes an integral part of the object.
